Our Firm

EZRA Architects is an award-winning and multi-disciplinary practice. It was established in 2005 by our Founder & Principal Architect, Lim Kee Hua. In 2007 and 2009, Keith Khoo and Leonard Sim joined the practice, bringing with them experience from their tenures in Japan and China, respectively. Together, the three Principal Architects have expanded the firm's portfolio consistently over the years. Despite Leonard's passing in 2013, the firm has continued to grow steadily.

Versatility

We operate as a multi-disciplinary design practice, offering an array of services including master planning, architecture, landscape design, interior design, interior styling, and product design. With a presence in both Singapore and Guangzhou, we provide comprehensive design consultancy across various project types, encompassing residential, commercial, retail, showflats, and product design.

Innovation

Pioneering the adoption of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the industry, we achieved full implementation as early as 2007. Our achievements have garnered international recognition in the field of BIM, with keynote presentations delivered in numerous cities by our founder. In recent years, our design processes have integrated parametric modeling and real-time visualization using game engines. Embracing technology not only optimizes our work efficiency but also fosters seamless communication with clients and other stakeholders through three-dimensional information.

Our international experience spans Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Saudi Arabia, U.A.E, Kenya, Germany, U.K, Maldives, Japan, and South Korea.

Our Principals:

Ar Lim Kee Hua

Ar Lim Kee Hua founded EZRA Architects in 2005. He completed his Bachelor of Arts and subsequently obtained a Master of Architecture from the esteemed National University of Singapore. Holding the titles of Registered Architect, ASEAN & APEC Architect with the Board of Architects in Singapore, he has demonstrated a diverse professional background.

In addition to his leadership at EZRA Architects, he has held positions including Retail Consultant of Brand Alliance, a global brand consultancy based in Barcelona & Singapore, Design Consultant of Chrome International, a Swiss-based company specializing in bathroom fittings and wares, and Design Consultant to Manchester United F&B Asia. His multi-disciplinary expertise spans architecture, interior design, landscape design, product design, computer graphics, and branding, influencing the design direction, culture, and methodologies at EZRA Architects. This includes the creation of a fully Apple Mac environment and integrated BIM workflow in the firm.

Founder & Principal Architect

Within the Singapore Institute of Architects, Lim Kee Hua has contributed his expertise by serving on various committees. These include the Service Procurement Committee, the Small Medium Architectural Practice Committee, and the Practice Convention Organising Committee.

Academically, he has made significant contributions as a design faculty member at the National University of Singapore, a mentor in SIA’s Student-Mentorship Programme, and an advisor to aspiring architects undertaking board examinations in Singapore. Notably, as an international speaker on the subject of BIM, he has delivered speeches in cities such as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Osaka, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Shanghai

Ar. Keith Khoo

Ar. Keith Khoo Sey Keat obtained his Bachelor of Arts and subsequently Master of Architecture from the prestigious National University of Singapore with Distinction in Architectural Design Thesis Preparation. He is a Registered Architect, ASEAN & APEC Architect with the Board of Architects in Singapore. His passion in life and architecture brought him to work and stay in numerous countries including China, Japan, Malaysia, Maldives, and Africa, mastering 6 languages and dialects along the way. He has worked with numerous award winning architects before teaming up with Kee in EZRA Architects.

Principal Architect

Ar. Keith’s extensive experience includes being the lead Project Architect for the SGD$50 million National University of Singapore Law campus at Bukit Timah, which won the prestigious Singapore URA Heritage Award in 2012. His attention to details was exemply in the award winning Onan Road conservation shophouse where it was featured heavily in the press for the Special Mentioned URA Heritage Award is 2019. He also helm the architect team to complete a 122 keys International hotel at Nairobi, Kenya which was the award winner for numerious awards including 2021 African Property Awards for Hotel Construction and Design and 2020 World Luxury Awards for Luxury Architecture Design Hotel.

Keith is the Principal Architect at EZRA Architects. He is also a corporate member of Singapore Institute of Architects and has been active in promoting the passion and professionalism of Architecture in Singapore; including as a speaker for Singapore Institute of Architects at various education institutions. He also served as examiner in the Professional Practice Examination at Board of Architects as well as Architect’s Appointment Group executive committee member at Singapore Institute of Architects.

Our Name on A Card:

White represents purity and clarity, a blank canvas, a void in which all our ideas are conceived. The subtlety of the embossed EZRA Architects, which changes according to the angle of light, represents the magical and unexplainable moment when our ideas take form. This also symbolizes the subtlety, sensitivity, and soulfulness that we want to achieve in our design. Hopefully, this namecard will be timeless and serve as our last namecard design.

EZRA means “help” in Hebrew, which is synonymous with the service industry we are in, embodying a sincere and genuine attitude with which we carry out our work. Just a piece of 90x45mm cardboard, but it encapsulates EZRA’s attitude and culture. These concepts are similarly applied to the design of this website.
