Burj Alif-Ha @ Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

The brief by our client was to design an Arabic skyscraper, not seen before and distinct within the global panorama. The concept was propelled by the captivating Arabic patterns and stylistic Arabic characters. The form of the building was conceptually derived from the 'Alif', the first Arabic character symbolizing 'Allah', and the 'Ha', signifying the 5 pillars of Islam.

By means of a process involving compression and skewing, the design embodies a representation of 'Alif' from one angle and 'Ha' from another.

Incorporating the studied Arabic patterns, we derived the structural and façade system of the architecture.
