Good Class Bungalow @ Jalan Asuhan, Singapore

Designed as a residence accommodating a large family spanning three generations, this project seeks to achieve a harmonious balance between maximizing floor area and creating engaging spaces for collective family enjoyment. The client’s brief presents a complex challenge, requiring the integration of four master bedrooms along with eight additional bedrooms for the children, in addition to various common areas.

The U-shaped layout encircling a central courtyard facilitates spatial interaction across all three levels. This courtyard serves as the focal point of the architectural design, surrounding shared spaces and forming a cohesive nucleus characterized by a tessellated building form.

The distinctive features of the site, including a long driveway that slopes upward toward the main structure, enable the construction of a basement garage with minimal excavation. This design affords a unique and exclusive main entrance to the residence, setting it apart from others.
