Hai Dong International Art Centre & Residential Project @ Dali, China

This masterplanning and architectural design project stands as one of our most challenging endeavors to date. Positioned adjacent to the renowned Erhai Lake in Dali City, the 23-hectare hilly terrain offers a commanding panorama of the lake. Broadly classified, the project encompasses three distinct areas.

The first area comprises an international art center, incorporating artists' studios and apartments, an exhibition gallery, an art institution, a hotel, a theater, and commercial areas to support these functions.

The second area is designated for residential purposes and includes condominiums and semi-detached houses catering to the general public. Lastly, an exclusive residential area, featuring detached villas, is specifically tailored to appeal to celebrities.

The site's topography inherently dictates the layout of roads and the distribution of plots of varying sizes and elevations, thereby posing a challenge to the architectural design of each unique plot.

Meeting not only the functional demands but also adhering to the site's constraints has been the focal point of our design work in this project.
