The scope of this project encompasses the masterplanning of a 32,000 square meter hilly terrain to accommodate 40 exclusive villas, each offering a commanding view of Nanhu, or South Lake.
The size of the villas varies, with the largest villa occupying a site in excess of 1650 square meters, rendering the overall development potentially the most distinguished of its kind in Guangzhou city.
The complex topography of the site necessitates the individualization of each villa to effectively preserve the original terrain.
The architectural design adopts a contemporary language of minimalism and sleekness while integrating traditional Chinese patterns and "moon doors" to evoke a sense of tranquility and elegance, thereby catering to possibly the most affluent group of individuals within the community of Nanhu Golf Club.
We were tasked with the planning and architectural design as well as the interior design of show unit 40B.
The contemporary design was enhanced with touches of Chinese motifs to specifically target and appeal to the intended demographic.
