The hotel draws inspiration from the work of Seattle artist Jeff Mihalyo, specifically his painting "Pufferfish House". The hotel's design is metaphorically modelled after the dissection of a pufferfish, with a logical layout along a central 'spine' housing services and circulation.
The lower section, akin to the 'stomach' of a pufferfish, encompasses facilities such as a café, restaurants, a double-volume main lobby, function rooms, a health club, and a business center spanning from the 1st to the 6th storey. Above this, the 'house' accommodates all the hotel rooms up to the 30th
storey.
The 288-room hotel is enveloped in white Onyx marble at the front, top, and back, forming an illuminated 'skin.' The sides are clad in reflective gold-tinted glass and a geometrically patterned canvas, serving as a sunshading system composed of aluminium framework and metal fabrics.
