Semi-Detached House @ Lucky Rise, Singapore

The living and dining area of this semi-detached house is elevated to the second storey, featuring a high ceiling that capitalizes on the expansive car porch roof terrace, serving as an extension of the living space.

The ground floor is encircled by the rear facades of multiple neighboring lots, some of which rise half a story higher. Therefore, it is designed as a semi-basement, benefiting from filtered light that enters through the perimeter garden. A home theater, which also serves as a gathering space for the client’s close-knit colleagues, is a prominent feature situated at the entrance. Additionally, a fully open gym deck on the side functions as a semi-outdoor bar lounge.

The upper two floors are designated as private areas, yet they are not devoid of architectural features. On the third level, a music room is designed to resemble a showcase glass box, prominently positioned at the front facade.

Adjacent to the children's bedroom suites lies a longitudinal lounge that offers views from front to back, maximizing natural light and cross ventilation. This design also provides an ideal setting for a striking staircase leading to the attic master suites.

This residence is situated on a prime elevated plot offering potential unobstructed views of the downtown area and East Coast Park. The attic master suites, featuring a home office at the front and a Master Bedroom at the rear, provide the finest vistas.

The overall architectural design integrates the unique features of each floor with consistent black edge bands along the floors and roofs. These bands are juxtaposed across the layers of each floor, cantilevered at varying depths to provide shading and create an engaging interplay of architectural geometry.
