Stack Housing @ Mauritius

The Stack House project proposes a low-cost housing development based on a modular design concept reminiscent of Lego blocks, allowing for diverse configurations to create low-rise detached, semi-detached, or mid to high-rise buildings.

The typical living unit consists of six individual prefabricated R.C. modules with fenestration in each unit tailored to the specific program and function of the space.

To address the weather conditions in Mauritius, each module incorporates an R.C. pyramidal pitch roof and gutter system to facilitate water drainage.

These pitched roofs also serve as connectors, ensuring precise and efficient stacking of the modules. Stack House represents an innovative approach to low-cost housing, showcasing a harmonious blend of creativity, interest, and cost- effectiveness, while prioritizing construction feasibility and adaptability.
