The owner commissioned us to fully design this new three-storey corner terrace home, including the architecture, interior design, selection of furniture, and artworks. The brief was simple: to create a unique design and provide spacious interior areas for entertainment.
The architectural facade is a juxtaposition of different treatments that gradually transform into a sharp 45-degree roof, creating a striking presence and, at the same time, reducing the perceived mass of the building.
A feature staircase rises from a reflective pond at the center of the building. The staircase is designed with thin, linear vertical cable ties as barriers, allowing for transparency and an open feel in the internal spaces around the vertical circulation.
The living, dining, and showcase kitchen on the first level are visually connected to the bar and lounge on the second level, which is designed as a loft above the kitchen and dining room. This allows for an interplay of double-volume spaces with ample light and visual connectivity when entertaining guests.
The attic features a karaoke room, serving as another entertainment center. It is equipped with custom-made acoustic soundproof panels that can transform the room from a regular TV room to a fully enclosed party area when needed.Additionally, a jazzed-up powder room and a roof terrace for smokers are thoughtfully designed in the attic to address the owner's convenience and needs.
