The Wavehouse was a Sentosa attraction, featuring the Waveloch and the Flowrider wave machines that bring the surfer lifestyle and entertainment to Singapore. The interior design project brief called for creating a hip and cool destination reflecting a casual beach culture, yet still having a chic bar atmosphere for events and parties.
The main interior hangout is the double volume casual dining restaurant facing the beach. The design intention is to bring the beach culture and outdoor ambiance to the interior. Bamboo ring canopies with integrated downlights are created to evoke a sense of dining under the trees.
A rooftop lounge called the “lava” bar was also designed but not fully completed for event use due to sound concerns to a nearby hotel.
