West Al Khozama Villa District @ Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Luxury Community Masterplan in Riyadh

Nestled within the diplomatic quarter of Riyadh, this one-square-kilometer site adjoins a 15-meter deep valley, providing a panoramic view of the city's skyline. The masterplan utilizes the existing road network to subdivide the land into 431 plots, ranging from 750 to 3000 square meters, designated for luxurious villas of various architectural designs.

Additionally, a pedestrian network, arranged in a tilted grid pattern, connects 11 parks, three mosques, a school, a cultural center, and a plaza. The overarching goal is to establish a self-sufficient community for the elite.

Modern Arabian Villas Design

We refer to these as The Modern Arabian Villas. The designs strive to create a delicate balance between the intricacy of traditional Islamic architecture and the sleekness of modern design, as well as between the conservative living habits of Saudi Arabia and the openness of contemporary living. Wooden lattices and intricately carved stones embody Islamic patterns, harmoniously integrated with steel and glass to complement one another.

Each villa features a distinctive high curved wall that serves as a sun shield, protecting essential spaces from the intensity of the summer sun, thus serving as a key organizing element of the layout. Flanking this wall are orthogonal spaces designated for private and public use, as well as areas for males and females, forming a complex yet highly functional arrangement that aligns with the traditional Saudi Arabian lifestyle.
